SOLVING OPOSSUM PROBLEMS

Opossum drooling and hissing:

Opossums are highly resistant to rabies. By opening its mouth, showing its 50 pointy teeth and hissing, they are trying to scare you away with their fierceness. They don't have many defense mechanisms, which is why they often play dead when scared. Just leave the Opossum alone and the animal will wander away.

In the Yard, Garbage or under the House:

Place ammonia-soaked rags, mothballs in socks, and/or cayenne pepper in strategic places surrounding the area most frequented by opossums.
Brightly light the area.  This is annoying to nocturnal animals.
Try a loud radio day and night near the area.  Rap music works best =)
